Career, Studies, Opportunity…

   To achieve great things in life we must put in the hard work and practice every day. Prepare for exams not just a few days in advance but many weeks. If Andrew Roddick practiced his tennis 2 days before his championship game do you think he would have got a Gold medal? If Ian Thorpe practice swimming 3 days before the Olympics do you think he could be able to represent Australia? If you practice the violin for 1hr everyday do you think you will ever graduate?

   The weeks leading up to the exams I will try my best to study until midnight in the library. It’s not worth partying 2-3 years if it means sacrificing a whole world of success. It should be the other way around. Just like the great sportsmen need to start preparation years in advance, just like a countries infrastructure needs planning and making assumptions about the foreseeable future, we too should plan our careers right now and try our best to stick to them.

   1999 December 20: “One country Two systems”, A Basic Law of S.A.R. which will remain in effect for the next 50 years.

   “The Karate black belt master knows breaking boards is a demonstration of commitment. He must strike with Speed and Power. If he does not concentrate his mind and soul on a single target, the board will break his own hands.”

   To understand our world’s economy, to forecast tomorrow’s interest rates requires a higher understanding of the basic financial principles and concepts. We can control our nation’s bad habits with proper political powers. We can maintain higher employment rates and devote the worlds scarcely growing resources to help those in trouble.

I believe in Control… Great control!

Control our environment.

   You know what it's like getting up every morning? Feeling hopeless, feeling like the love of your life is waking up with the wrong man. But, at the same time hoping that she still finds happiness, even if it's never going to be with you. Because that's what people do. They leap, and hope to God they can fly, because otherwise you just drop like a rock, wondering the whole way down "Why in the hell did I jump?" But here I am, falling, and the only one that makes me feel like I can fly is you.

   Never lie, steal, cheat or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away...

   Often we run into life changing experiences. Every time we meet a new friend our life changes to a different path. Just a simple: “Hello. What is your name?” and you could have met a new lover.

   Hello my name is David. This is my first time writing a blog since I’ve always been too busy with work and study and other things. A friend of mine explained to me that a weblog is not just about what you did when you woke up and where you went for dinner but something more interesting so I hope I can write something interesting. Feel free to message me if there is a topic you would like to discuss with me.

   I believe life is about experiences and that anything can be learnt. Pigs can’t fly but anything else is possible.  (No! Monkeys cannot fly either!) You can learn everything in this world from books, the internet, and most importantly from talking to other people. Meet as many new people as you can.

   I also believe the key ingredient to life is the ability to adapt to your surroundings/situation. (Adaptation) Many animal species become extinct because they are unable to evolve and adapt to climate changes or compete with the other species on the planet.

   The muscle, combat speed and physical strength of a lion or tiger in the jungle is about 20 times as heavy as human muscle yet only humans have the capability to completely destroy all the lions and tigers in the world if we wanted to because the human brain is a million times more sophisticated/complex/dynamic than a lion or tiger. Our brain has evolved over the millennia and is much more superior and advanced. Computers may be able to calculate/process simple maths and formulas but it is not even close to analysing the complex emotional feelings that only the human brain can.
